As SAP TechEd 2024 unfolds, the announcements around SAP Datasphere have created a ripple of excitement among SAP enthusiasts, partners, and customers alike. Mainly around the area of the new data lake capabilities
powered by SAP HANA Cloud.
There are three main features for the SAP Data lake capabilities.

1.1 Integrated Object Store:

This feature offers a simplified approach to storing large volumes of data, allowing businesses to scale storage as needed. By embedding the object store within SAP Datasphere, users can seamlessly manage and access data without the complexities associated with external storage solutions.

1.2 Spark Compute:

Leveraging Apache Spark, this capability facilitates efficient data transformation and processing. It enables users to perform complex data operations and analytics directly within SAP Datasphere, enhancing performance and reducing the need for data movement.

1.3 SQL On Files:

This functionality allows developers to access and query data stored in the integrated object store using standard SQL commands, without the need to physically copy the data. This streamlines data integration processes, reduces storage redundancy, and ensures data consistency across the organization.
